Founder's Story
Darnell Schoolfield is a creative producer, strategist, and arts and culture advocate whose work lives at the intersection of community engagement, social advocacy, and creative innovation. As Senior Social Media and Marketing Manager at Mural Arts Philadelphia (MAP), the nation’s largest public art program, he has shaped campaigns that uplift underrepresented voices, create access to opportunities, and amplify the transformative power of art.
At Mural Arts, Darnell also serves as co-chair of the ARC (Access, Representation, and Community) Committee, leading initiatives that strengthened equity and culture across the organization. His leadership has spanned organizing company-wide training sessions, redesigning hiring processes, co-authoring a new employee handbook, and driving compensation studies. Under his guidance, the committee secured a strengthened annual budget for ARC initiatives and became the first employee group to win stipends for its work.
From September 2022 to January 2025, Darnell helped grow MAP’s Instagram following from 89K to 104K, driven by engaging and high-quality video storytelling. Through our partnership with ABC, Disney, and Warner Bros., he led MAP’s digital content strategy for the widely celebrated Abbott Elementary feature episode. Their collaboration amplified awareness by 1,000% in just two weeks, sold out a live episode screening, and boosted visibility for MAP’s annual Wall Ball fundraiser, which raised over $500K for three consecutive years (2023–2025).
Earlier, in 2018, Darnell became the first Digital Content Creator for the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation, overseeing digital strategy for signature public spaces including Spruce Street Harbor Park, Penn’s Landing, Cherry Street Pier, Race Street Pier, and Blue Cross RiverRink. In 2021, he co-founded Art From the Heart Gallery, Philadelphia’s first NFT gallery, opening the door for local artists to enter the crypto art scene and explore digital asset ownership.
As a producer and curator, Darnell has organized festivals at LOVE Park that drew more than 2,000 visitors in 2024, co-curated Painting the Party, introducing new muralists (two of whom have since completed their first large-scale murals), and mentored youth and college interns through partnerships with WHYY, Science Leadership Academy, Bryn Mawr College, and the University of Colorado Boulder. He also led creative direction for landmark projects, including the Jill Scott Mural Dedication and Philadelphia’s first permanent voting-themed mural.
In 2025, Darnell expanded his practice by founding ImagineNation Land, a creative agency dedicated to bridging the gap between artists and paid opportunities through management, development, strategic marketing, and partnerships. Under his direction, ImagineNation Land has grown to represent five clients across music and visual art. The agency has delivered measurable success, earning over 2.6 million views for hip-hop artist Fakefree KP since May 2025, securing partnerships with Illadelph Spirits, and landing placements on Fox Soul’s BAM | BILL ALEX & MIKE, Metro Philadelphia, and The Kenlo Show.

He has also driven campaigns for rising R&B artist Steph Chambers, whose single “Let’s Be in Love” gained over 100,000 views and placement on top Tidal and Pandora playlists. Additionally, his work on artist J. Taylor’s Art Under the Stars helped draw over 220 attendees annually, generate more than $12,000 in revenue in 2025, and secured features in local and national publications such as NPR, WHYY, Visit Philadelphia, Visit PA, Grid Philly, The Philadelphia Citizen, City Cast Philly, and The Philadelphia Tribune.
Darnell is a graduate of the Business on Board nonprofit board service training program (Cohort 2024) and co-founder of SupaIceCold Productions, an independent audio and media production company established in 2011. Whether leading digital campaigns, producing cultural events, or developing artists’ careers, he continues to create platforms that celebrate creativity, amplify voices, and build bridges between artists, audiences, and opportunities.
